PASADENA —?Mutual Trading Co., Inc. hosted its 33rd Japanese Food and Restaurant Expo on Saturday, with thousands attending at the Pasadena Convention Center.
Hundreds of vendors showcased all things related to Japanese cuisine, from world-class seafood and fish to sauces and flavorings, even fine cutlery and kitchenware. And of course, the always-popular pavilion for sake, beer and wines drew scores of visitors eager to sample the finest in potent potables.
Highlights of this year’s expo included new technologies to freeze fish and seafood at ultra-low temperatures, preserving its freshness in ways previously unattainable.
Also featured was globally-renowned wagyu beef, including Miyazaki wagyu, regarded as the world’s finest.
