A couple attempting to make a grand entrance for their family before prom landed themselves a viral video instead.

Jordyn McManus and her boyfriend Austin Cooper tried to make a big entrance for their families on Saturday when Cooper accidentally stole the show. The two were walking down a staircase at McManus' house when Cooper slipped, sending him flying down a few stairs.

"Aww, look at you guys," someone can be heard saying as the two come around the corner and reveal themselves.

At that moment, Cooper learned that men's dress shoes are super slippery on some surfaces, and he took a dive.

"Austin and I were trying to make a grand entrance for our family and friends for prom," McManus said in an email. "Obviously it didn't go as planned."

Thankfully, Cooper wasn't seriously hurt, aside from maybe his ego.

"My back was hurting during the whole night of prom but I stuck with it and manned up," Cooper said.

And McManus said she found the whole thing pretty entertaining.

"I was laughing for about 10 minutes and couldn't stop watching the video throughout the night," she said. "It was great."

And so did the internet. McManus tweeted the clip, and it has since racked up over 60,000 retweets, and it's very own remix.

After the fall the couple attended prom, and both said they had a great evening.
