When the second generation of the iPhone SE launched in 2020, it was available with three storage options: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB. Apple's own tech specifications for the device show the 256GB option was there (see screenshot below).

The iPhone SE is among the old models that Apple still lists in its online store; other available models include the iPhone 12, the iPhone 12 mini, and the iPhone 11.

The change could mean that Apple is ramping down production of the iPhone SE, but it could also mean that the company deemed the iPhone SE 256GB too competitive with some other model. In any case, it's gone, but you may still be able to buy it from third party retailers.
