The Japanese American Cultural and Community Center, 244 S. San Pedro St. in Little Tokyo, will present “Oita’s Art Moment” from Sept. 20 to Oct. 19.
For the first time in the U.S., JACCC and Tai Modern are exhibiting bamboo artists from Japan’s Oita Prefecture. More than 50 works of bamboo baskets from traditional to experimental works will be on display.
Opening reception on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 1 to 3 p.m. Lecture and demonstration on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20-21, from 1 to 3 p.m.
