LA Artcore is presenting a tandem-solo exhibit with Los Angeles artists Wakana Kimura and Bryan Ida at Union Center for the Arts, 120 Judge John Aiso St. in Little Tokyo. An opening reception was held on Nov. 5. Kimura is exhibiting works from three distinct series of works, all of which derive from the artist’s investigation of Buddhism via the utilization of varied drawing media, narrative and pictorial construction. The central theme of Ida’s recent paintings rests upon relationships the artist has cultivated with those in Los Angeles’ art community. Gallery hours are Wednesday through Sunday, 12 to 5 p.m. Closed Thanksgiving Day. For more information, call (213) 617-3274 or visit www.laartcore.org. Visit the artists’ websites at www.wakanakimura.com and www.bryanida.com.
