SAN JOSE — Fred T. Korematsu Day of Civil Liberties and the Constitution-South Bay will be observed online on Saturday, Jan. 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
This year’s event honoring the life and work of Fred Korematsu (1919-2005) will feature presentations on his fight for justice and a panel discussion with seasoned community advocates.
Remarks will be given by Karen Korematsu, civil rights leader and daughter of Fred and Kathryn Korematsu; Robert Handa, award-winning reporter with NBC Bay Area; community leaders and legal experts.MCLE credit provided by the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Silicon Valley.
