Cheaters are femme pyro sex videosan ongoing issue in Warzone, and it now appears that hackers have found a way to stop themselves from getting banned, even after being caught.
Just like virtually any other online multiplayer game, Call of Duty has had its fair share of cheating problems over the years. While RICOCHET anti-cheat is in place to try and manage the issue, plenty of players using wall hacks, aim bots, and other prohibited software still slip through the cracks.
Article continues after adAs a free-to-play title, Warzone, in particular, has struggled with cheaters over the years, especially in Ranked Play once you reach the higher tiers.
The one saving grace was always that anyone found to be cheating would be banned, meaning they either had to take a break or make a completely new account. Now, however, it seems as though they’ve found a way to keep playing even after being found out.
Article continues after adPopular COD streamer The Tactical Brit uploaded a video detailing his run-in with a team of cheaters in Warzone Ranked Play. Most, if not all, of the team of four were “blatantly” using aim bots to gain an advantage, and ultimately wiped out his team.
Article continues after adThey all reported the hackers while spectating, and RICOCHET eventually intervened and kicked them from the lobby. Ordinarily, this would mean they would be shadow-banned, where they are only able to find lobbies against other players suspected of cheating, or given a permanent account ban.
However, he then ran into the exact same group of cheaters in the very next match, with the same names and ranks as before. As you’d expect, they went on to “ruin” that match as well, leaving the streamer with no doubt that they’ve found a workaround to Warzone’s anti-cheat.

Article continues after ad“The concern here is starting to arise that something in RICOCHET is compromised,” he explained.
Article continues after ad“Cheaters have accounts, or have the ability to basically be impervious to bans, and that whatever backend system they’re using to make sure these accounts can’t access the servers is either not working correctly as intended, or somebody has found a way to get around it.”
The streamer also mentioned that he’s had interactions with cheaters in the past, where they’ve claimed that it doesn’t matter how much they’re reported, as they’ll still be able to keep playing.
Article continues after adAs further evidence of the anti-cheat not working as intended, he also shared the story of fellow streamer ‘Phixate.’ He was met with a message that his account had been permanently banned, despite not cheating, but he could use Alt + F4 to close the app and get around whenever it popped up.
Activision are yet to address this officially, but it appears that hackers are becoming wiser when it comes to avoiding bans. With the Season 4 Reloaded update around the corner, it remains to be seen if they have any plans to tackle the issue.
