Zhu also responded to media queries regarding recent actions and statements by the United States, including a bill passed by the House Appropriations Committee that allocates $500 million for a so-called Taiwan security cooperation initiative.

She urged the US side to earnestly honor its political commitments to China on the Taiwan question, abide by the one-China principle and the provisions of the three China-US joint communiques, and handle Taiwan-related issues with utmost caution.
