The sex with sleeping girlfriend videosboard is back, baby!
John Krasinski's long-awaited A Quiet Place sequel finally hit theaters on May 28. In addition to Krasinski's character Lee pulling a Jack Pearson and returning in the form of flashbacks, fans were blessed with another unexpected callback to the first film: Lee's infamous whiteboard.
That's right, the absurd, downright comical dry-erase whiteboard from A Quiet Place — which featured words like "CREATURE" and "SURVIVE," asked questions like "How many in Area??" and "What is the WEAKNESS," and noted observations such as "Blind" and "Attack sound" — makes a brief cameo in the second film. Thank the lord.
As viewers will recall, in his desperate and exhaustive attempts to figure out how to survive, Lee used whiteboards to help unpack what he learned about the sound-seeking monsters.

The board — in all its simplistic, multi-colored, middle school glory — got a lot of shit after the first film. Some people straight-up hated it, while others, like myself and one of my dear friends, thought it was so hilarious we couldn't help but sort of love it.
One would assume that Krasinski would focus on the negative whiteboard feedback and actively seek to distance himself from it in the sequel, but no. He brought that board back in an incredible flex.
The cameo appears early on in the second film, but when I left the theater over an hour later it was still fresh in my mind. When I got in the car, I texted my whiteboard-loving friend, "Guess what was in A Quiet Place II." And without missing a beat she replied, "The board?" Amazing.

While Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Cillian Murphy undoubtedly delivered powerful, stirring performances worthy of praise, we're thankful that the Quiet Placewhiteboard cameo is getting some love on Twitter, too.

We can only hope that somehow the board returns if a Quiet Place Part 3ever happens.
