GARDENA — Ryukyu Minyo Kyokai Hokubei Branch presents the ninth “Minyo no Yube,” an evening of Okinawan folk music, on Sunday, April 17, at 1:30 p.m. (doors open at 1 p.m.) at Gardena Buddhist Church, 1517 W. 166thSt. in Gardena.
Enjoy an afternoon of Ryukyu music and dance featuring local teachers and students from the Okinawa Association of America’s Geino-Bu (Performing Arts Committee). Traditional dances will be performed by members of Majikina Honryu Los Angeles and Miyagi Ryu Toyomu Kai.
