Nissin Foods USA has announced details of its Good Neighbor Scholarship.

This scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who have demonstrated a well-balanced academic career — academics, extracurricular activities, and community service — with a desire to make a positive change in their communities. This program is designed to give a financial boost to students in need to help them achieve their aspirations to make a positive impact in both the private and public sectors, and through any number of professional careers.

The mission of the Nissin Foods USA scholarship is to provide financial assistance to graduating high school seniors to be enrolled for undergraduate study in two-or four-year institutions/universities and trade schools.

Up to two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to deserving students attending high school in Gardena, Calif. or in Lancaster County in Pennsylvania.

Areas that are reviewed by the committee include but are not limited to the following: Merit, community service and financial Need. Nissin Foods (U.S.A.) Co., Inc. will pay scholarship funds directly to the recipient’s school/institution. Scholarships will be awarded at the start of the recipient’s first semester/quarter of enrollment. Scholarships are awarded without regard to race, color, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation.

Eligibility Criteria

? Applicants must demonstrate a need for financial assistance by submitting their FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) alongside the application. SAR Expected Family Contribution (EFC) will be taken into consideration.

? Applicants must have permanent resident status in Southern California or Lancaster County.

? Academic performance, leadership potential, and participation in programs focused on volunteerism and community service will be highly considered.

? A letter of recommendation is required.

? Transcript submission: minimum 3.0 GPA

? Deadline for scholarship applications is Friday, June 14, 2024, at 5 p.m. PST. NO EXCEPTIONS.

? If any question does not apply to you in this application, place “N/A” in the space.

? Type or print legibly.

? If you have any questions about the application, email [email protected].

? Application should be submitted electronically by Friday, June 14, at 5 p.m. PST to Nissin Foods, USA at [email protected]. A scanned copy may be submitted.

? Alternatively, the application may be mailed to 2001 W. Rosecrans Ave., Gardena, CA 90249. Must be postmarked by Friday, June 14.

? Applications emailed after 5 p.m. PST on this date or postmarked after this date if sent via U.S. mail will not be considered.

? Applicants will be notified if awarded a scholarship by July 2024.

? Nissin Foods will not be responsible for any lost applications.
