There's been some buzz already about what Samsung will be xem phim 18revealing on Feb. 11, but it doesn't get much clearer than these newly surfaced photos.
Images of a device purported to be Samsung's as-yet-unrevealed Galaxy S20 popped up on XDA Developers on Sunday. The website credits the photos back to an anonymous source. Assuming they're legitimate, the leak amounts to our first real look at Samsung's next flagship smartphone.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
The images (you can see more at the link above) show the device's front and back. The most intriguing details come from the back, with a camera bump that includes what appears to be four different lenses, a flash, and a much smaller hole that may or may not be a microphone (for video, perhaps?).
Also visible on the side of the phone are what appear to be a volume rocker and power button. There's no sign of a dedicated button for Samsung's smart assistant, Bixby, as they has been on other recent Galaxy models.
The front of the phone shows a thin bezel around the display and a small cutout at the top for the front-facing camera. The source of the images told XDA Developers that (in the website's words) the display "felt flat," losing the curved feel of previous Galaxy displays. The smartphone will also come with a pre-installed screen protector, according to the source.
We first heard some buzz about the Galaxy S20 on Friday via a report out of CES that suggested Samsung will be debuting three models at its Feb. 11 Samsung Unpacked event. There's the base-model S20, the upgraded S20+ (which is the phone supposedly pictured in the XDA Developers leak), and the even more upgraded S20 Ultra.
It's not yet clear exactly what will set the three models apart, though the XDA report suggests the S20+ features a larger body, while the S20 Ultra also packs in upgraded camera tech. The earlier report, the one from Friday, noted that the S20, along with Samsung's vertically foldable Galaxy Bloom (which is also reportedly set for a February reveal), will support 8K video recording.
Whatever the facts are, you won't have to wait much longer. Samsung confirmed just after CES 2020 that the next Unpacked is set for Feb. 11.
