Following the meme upset caused by Donald Trump Jr.'s original tweet, Mars made a statement distancing itself from the analogy by declaring, "Skittles are candy; refugees are people," which people greatly appreciated.

So if we think of Google Trends in terms of the election, Skittles are essentially beating Trump in the "polls." What a time to be alive.
