The Japanese American Cultural and Community Center has announced an open call for art for its 20th annual Shikishi Exhibition.
Submissions are due by Monday, Dec. 18.
Diverse voices of the community from across the blog and of all ages come to create shikishi cards featuring the theme of Hatsu-Zora (First Sky) and Year of the Dog. JACCC welcomes you to participate in this unique exhibition by contributing artwork to express hope for 2018.

The exhibition will open Sunday, Jan. 7, at 2 p.m., immediately following Kotohajime, at the George J. Doizaki Gallery at JACCC, 244 S. San Pedro St. in Little Tokyo, and will be on view until Feb. 4.
