According to MacRumors, this version comes with five new features, including a notification functionality that many users have been asking for.
In mid-September, we told you that Apple dropped new ringtones and text tones when it introduced iOS 17, but this change also came with a new default notification sound. However, some didn't dig the new sound; a few complained that it was too quiet.
Listening to users' feedback, Apple launched a new feature iOS 17.2 beta 4 feature that will quell those complaints.
You can change the default sound to whatever you want. According to 9to5Mac, this is the first time that iOS has allowed users to do this. This is aside from mail, text, and calendar alerts, which already offer user-configurable options.
Under the "Sound & Haptics" section, you'll find a new "Default Alerts" option.
