With the United States finally turning a corner with the coronavirus pandemic,??? ?????? ??????? ???????? ?????? singles are taking to dating apps (and the vaccine line) to find potential dates. With safety top of mind for many, Tinder will send 500 matched couples (1,000 users) home COVID-19 test kits from Everywell.
Here's how it'll work: Tinder members will request a pair of kits, one for them and one for a match they're excited to meet in-person. On Saturday, March 20 (the first day of spring!) at 7:00 p.m. ET, users can claim a code for their free kit. Tests will be on a first come, first serve basis and will ship on Monday, March 22. This promo is only available to users in the continental U.S.
"The pandemic has created no shortage of dating obstacles, but we think our members are pretty optimistic about getting back out there," said Nicole Parlapiano, VP of marketing for North America at Tinder. She cited Jan. 3, this year's Dating Sunday, as proof of daters' eagerness: Members swiped 3.4 billion times that day, one of the busiest in the pandemic. Since then, there's been even better news for daters as vaccines become more available and spring is on the horizon.
"We’re excited to be working with Everlywell to make it easier for our members to go and meet their matches safely," Parlapiano continued. Nothing says romance like a nose swab!
