L.A. Daiku will give a free performance of “Ode to Joy” from Beethoven’s 9th Symphony on Tuesday, Aug. 6, in the JACCC Plaza, 244 S. San Pedro St. in Little Tokyo, following the conclusion of the Jackson Browne Concert for Peace at the Aratani Theatre. Under the direction of Jeffrey Bernstein, the 50-member chorale specializes in performing Beethoven’s Ninth (Daiku in Japanese), as well as an expanded repertoire that includes Handel and Mozart.
