Movistar Riders have secured their place at the BLAST Fall Showdown Europe thanks to a 2-0 victory over FTW, grabbing wins on Inferno (16-12) and Anubis (16-4).

It was a comfortable victory for the Spaniards, they were never in danger of losing the series. Strong showings from Antonio "?MartinezSa?" Martinez and Adam "?adamS?" Marian got the job done on Inferno, before Movistar Riders completely outclassed their opponents on Anubis.

With their victory, Movistar Riders have qualified for the BLAST Fall Showdown. The Showdown will take place October 4-8, and will pit eight teams against each other with a single BLAST Fall Final berth on the line. G2 and ENCE will be hot favorites to secure the spot for themselves, although they could face stiff competition from the likes of Cloud9 and MOUZ, should they make it through their respective qualifiers.

Movistar Riders shocked many with their recent showing at ESL Pro League, as their online results prior to the competition left much to be desired. They have followed up bagging an EPL playoff berth by securing a spot at the BLAST Fall Showdown, making the future seem bright for this new-look Riders squad.

FTW were always facing an uphill battle in the qualification series, as they are currently ranked outside the top 100 in the world and have mostly been playing regional competitions in recent times. Grabbing a map win against Movistar Riders early in this qualifier was a positive sign, but they could not repeat the feat in series play.
