The Little Tokyo Service Center’s Small Business Program is seeking old photos, records, or memories related to Otomi-San Japanese Restaurant (formerly known as Otemo Sushi Cafe) in Boyle Heights.

For decades, Otomi-San has been a beloved establishment in Los Angeles, serving the community with authentic Japanese cuisine. As it approaches its 70th anniversary next year, the restaurant continues to honor its rich history and maintain its traditions even under new ownership, remaining a vital part of the neighborhood.

The Small Business Support Team at LTSC is preparing marketing and promotional activities for this milestone. However, due to ownership changes and evolving surroundings, they lack historical information about the restaurant’s early days.

Any menus, photos, records, or personal memories related to Otomi-San, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.
